Overview

In November, Futurebirds partnered with Venture Music to promote and fund their first independent album release. After a decade of touring and building a grassroots following, the band sought a direct-to-fan funding approach without relying on traditional crowdfunding platforms. The challenge was to replicate the fan engagement of a crowdfunding campaign while leveraging the band’s existing infrastructure.

Our Approach

Using the band’s Squarespace website, we built a custom landing page with an embedded campaign video and bundled exclusive items for fans. Messaging was carefully framed across email blasts, social posts, and targeted ads to drive pre-orders and excitement.

The 10-week pre-order period delivered strong sales and high ROI while also building awareness ahead of release day. This direct marketing push resulted in a major streaming spike from the band’s existing audience once the album dropped.
